MAY is ROUND UP for SAVE A STRAY at B & B Pets! When you make a purchase, tell them you're rounding up to the next dollar and that extra change will benefit Save a Stray pets. Every little bit helps and we sure would appreciate it. Thank you, B & B and all our friends!
In the News: Some of you may have seen the story of these horses on WKRG. We were contacted yesterday by Mobile County Animal Control about these horses. We were told the owner would surrender them and asked if we could take them. They have been seen by Dr.Craig and he has advised us on feeding them and needed medical care. We have found a possible place for them to go Monday. We have purchased food and made arrangements for them to be fed until Monday and they can be moved to a better place. The horses will need medical care and lots of food and gentle hands. Donations to help with their care can be made on the Donate Page . Those wishing to volunteer can complete an application at the Here. See the story here:
It's time to CHRISTMAS SHOP! And Save a Stray has got the perfect gift idea for anyone on your list who loves dogs. Please read...and SHARE!
It's November and what does that mean? Having to start thinking about Christmas shopping. And which are the most difficult Christmas gifts to buy? The ones for people who already have so much. Save a Stray can help you this year because we have a meaningful Christmas gift for any friend or family member who loves animals.
Save a Stray and Angels' Arms's transports of Alabama dogs to New York have been exceptionally successful. We have found homes for 41 dogs in the last three months. Our mission: To help even more dogs in the future. But it's an expensive task.
This is where you can help...by giving a gift to someone you love that will mean far more to them than another kitchen appliance or bathrobe.
Your gift would be the sponsorship of a homeless dog in Alabama, one that came off the streets or was living in a kill shelter or was discarded by their family. For whatever reason, this dog was unlucky in finding a home here...but will find one in New York, just like all the ones who went before him.
Your present will be a photo of that dog, his story and his trip to New York. And when he finds his forever home, you will receive a picture of the dog with his new family...the family he was given because of your gift that made it possible for them to meet.
Isn't that what Christmas is all about? Love. Family. Sharing.
Save a Stray hopes that our Christmas Transport Fundraiser will provide enough money to give the best Christmas gift ever to many sweet Alabama dogs...the gift of a home. And at the same time will be a memorable and cherished gift...the gift of love...to someone we care about.
We appreciate our supporters, fosters and adopters more than we can say. Without you, none of this is possible.
