Donation Information

Thank you for your interest in donating and helping the homeless pets of Mobile County!

 Your donation allows us to continue offering spay/neuter programs, provide veterinary care for shelter pets, and conduct training class with shelter pets and at risk youth groups.  Last but not least, provide care and place in loving homes pets in our foster care.  We see  so many pets in need and try take in what we can and place in loving homes.  Of course all pets up for adoption through Save a Stray have been spayed/neutered, given age appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm checked and placed on heartworm and flea prevention.  

There are several ways to donate & support Save a Stray:  

  • Paypal: Donations may be made through PayPal by clicking the PayPal button to the left.  No Paypal account?  You can donate as a guest using a credit card.   If you wish to become a monthly donor, click the "Subscribe" button.  There are several donation amounts to choose from.

  • iGive: You may also donate while shopping online through iGive.  A portion of sales at over 900 online shops participate. Click the iGive button to your left, choose Save a Stray as your charity, shop away and help Save a Stray at the same time.

  • Checks:  May be made to the order of Save a Stray and mailed to 3488 Spring Hill Ave, Mobile, AL 36608.

  • ​Save A Stray Also helps Cats and Kittens! We could use the help since the reduced adoption fees do not cover the vetting expenses! Please follow this link for donation information!
  • Donations: Donations of supplies for our Spay Day Spay-a-Thon can be dropped off at 3488 Spring Hill Ave.  Needed supplies for the Spay-a-Thon are:   scrub, solution, 4x4 gauze, monofilament suture (3-0, 2-0, 0 -), surgical blades (10), disposable drapes, sterile 1cc and 3cc syringes, sterile needles, distilled water, paper towels, bleach, he Laundry Detergent and kennel sol.


  • Volunteer:   Volunteer time by fostering, taking pictures of shelter pets, transporting to the vet or to meet a adopter, manage shelters on adoption sites, plan fundraisers, plan off site adoptions, & vet tech assistance. Please fill out a volnteer application on the Applications Page.
