Trigger (11/18)

Things are going well with my new mom. She changed my name from Trigger to Dakota, because it means friend, and she thought it was more fitting. She also registered my microchip God for bid I ever get lost :) We like to play a lot and cuddle. She also takes me to Onondaga Lake Park when it's not too cold so we can go for runs. I like to run, I also like to meet other people at the park.

I used to be afraid of the car but now I like it. My mom hooks me in the backseat so I can safely see outside and takes me on all sorts of adventures, we even got on an airplane for Christmas! I don’t really like small spaces, so she had to carry me on the plane. She asked me what happened in my life to make me so afraid but I don’t really remember. My new home is very loving. My mom rescued me, but she tells me that I really rescued her :)

Thumper (10/18)

Thank you for checking in. Lou (formerly Thumper) has been doing very well. He has gained much needed weight and has more energy than the first couple of weeks after coming home. He loves to run around the yard and his dog-uncle Tucker (see the attached photo of Lou and Tucker the golden retriever napping together) taught him how to play with toys. When he first came home, he showed no interest in balls, ropes, or sticks, but Tucker showed him how fun they are, and now he loves all three, especially sticks and his rope. He gets to play with Tucker and other dogs regularly and has been very loving with ourselves and our family and is well-mannered when meeting new people. Everyone comments on how calm and well-behaved he is.

Thelma (8/18)

Our new husky is doing well. We have changed her name from Thelma to Kitana.  We started training classes last week and we are learning to walk without pulling, sit, stay, and start with coming on recall this week.  She is a very friendly beautiful family member.  She is a runner and we have had two mad dashes! We are learning to be VERY CAREFUL of doors and the leash!! Otherwise, settling in well. thanks for asking.

Taylor (11/18)

We couldn't be happier with our addition to the family. Gracie (formerly Taylor) has adjusted so well and we love her.  She seems to be very happy and has learned a few new tricks. She has seen her new vet and has gained a few pounds and the vet says she is perfect at this weight - we think so too!  She will start a daycare/training regiment next week to teach us humans how to help her curb her jumping at people to show how excited she is to meet them. Overall we think she finally understands this is her forever home and she is very comfortable here!

Trevor (11/18)

My husband and I adopted Trevor on December 2, 2018. We have since renamed him Mookie and he is the perfect edition to our family! He loves his new home and the snow! Here are some updated pictures of him relaxing in his favorite chair, celebrating his first birthday, showing off his basic obedience certificate (courtesy of Justin's Canine Campus), and keeping watch through his favorite window!! He has a funny, playful personality.
